Thomas L. Moore is a paleoclimatologist who studied under Judith Totman-Parrish Jones at the University of Arizona, earning a PhD in 1999. After graduation, he went on to work at Argonne National Laboratory, Argonne, Illinois, where he worked with the petroleum industry to study ancient climate and their impact on source and reservoir rocks.

Since leaving Argonne, he founded PaleoTerra to pursue his scientific and computational interests. Today, PaleoTerra works with a range of companies in the petroleum industry and academic institutions to continue research on the links between petroleum and climate. In addition, PaleoTerra is working on software development for the Macintosh®, iPhone®/iPod®, and other platforms.
