Thomas L. Moore is a paleoclimatologist who studied under Judith Totman-Parrish Jones at the University of Arizona, earning a PhD in 1999. After graduation, he went on to work at Argonne National Laboratory, Argonne, Illinois, where he worked with the petroleum industry to study ancient climate and their impact on source and reservoir rocks.

After leaving Argonne, he founded PaleoTerra to pursue his scientific and computational interests.

Today, Thomas works at a major technology company while continuing his software and scientific research.
